“It is a ritual I preform everyday,” He informed the other,” After a while, pain simply becomes a mind set, something one can endure,” he lifted the knife, cleaning the blade with a small cloth, “This ritual is also a punishment for my taint. It helps me keep my control around others.”

Cassiel nodded keeping his head low still. He didn’t want to argue, he knew nothing about Haneil’s past but he felt as if he had no reason to be punish. The elder was perfect in the assistants eyes, taint and all.

After he was finished, Haneil muttered a few more verses, then was still. He took a deep breath and the black paint seemed to absorb into his cuts, sealing them and making them disappear completely.

Cassiel chewed on his bottom lip. He didn’t want to speak until spoken to, it was out of respect but he was also still worried.

The elder continued to chant, beginning to do so louder. Once he was covered in the symbols, he put down the black paint then picked up a small dagger. Taking a deep breath, he ten began to go over the lines with the dagger, making not incredibly deep cuts, but deep enough to bleed. After Kindel went home, Haniel teleported back to his own home. With a sigh, he rubbed the back of his neck, and entered his bedroom, untying his jacket thing and shrugging it off. He placed it on the dresser before going to his alter and beginning to light all the candles there, muttering to himself

Cassiel had been waiting for him to return. He finally had a day off. The king had kept the assistant very busy up until now and it had been a long time since he’d see his love. He teleported outside the room with the alter and knocked lightly hoping he wasn’t disturbing the other. He’d taken to wearing a shirt that didn’t go too off the shoulder. He was sure Haneil didn’t want it getting out that he’d bitten the boy.

Once Azreal felt the elder’s heart become still, he slowly pulled out his hand with a devious smirk on his face. Just for kicks, he began to lick the blood off this arm, pleased with his handy work.

Haneil kept a tight grip on the young Liam, allowing him to scream and cry for the time being. The child would have to grieve, otherwise the feelings would just build up. After a few moments though, he lifted the small angel into his arms and stood, “I shall take the child back to Paradise with me to attempt to get him calm. Clean up this mess in the meantime.

With not a moment more, he orbed out of there, avoiding the sight of his dead friend.

Zagan awoke in Limbo. It was a terrible place. Others who had become lost were wailing and screaming, asking for help. The world was nothing but vast darkness, and every now and then flashes of the people Zagan cared about would appear above him, teasing him. Showing him his friends as they lived on without him.

The kind Angelic elder had tried for hours to comfort Liam, with no success. After a while, the small boy had run into the elder’s bathroom, locking the door behind him. Though Haneil could just orb into the room, he sighed, allowing the boy his privacy to mourn. Perhaps he would do the same. It had been a long while since he had had to wear his mourning kimono…

“With pleasure~” In one fluid movement, the Arabian thrusted his hand forward, slamming it into Zagan’s chest. It didn’t stop there though, instead, it went all the way through Zagan’s chest and out the other side.

Liam screamed zagan’s name once again, in both horror and desperation.

Zagan screamed out, the pain was massive. He screamed for a long time before the effect finally took, his immortal heart dying. Zagan slumped down, lifeless.

“N-no!” Liam cried, continuing to try to cling to Zagan as Haneil pulled at him. Once his grip broke, the angel elder began to drag him away, the whole time Liam screamed for Zagan, sobbing uncontrollably.

“Finally…” The demon elder muttered, getting back into position

That only made Liam cling onto Zagan tighter, so tightly his knuckles began to turn white from the strain, “I-I won’t go! Don’t leave me!”

Sadly, Haneil approached the boy, kneeling down so he could whisper reassurances into his boy’s ear, promising everything would be alright eventually. Liam wasn’t buying it at all.

“G-get away from us!” the small angel demanded, burying his tear stained face into his lover’s shirt.
